“The dark blue paper reminded me of a
stormy sky. Using the pattern as a guide,
I trimmed large corner pieces, transforming
the paper into whimsical storm clouds.”

Overlap photos with
other page elements,
like the umbrella or the
clouds, to make a layout
feel visually connected.
To make an umbrella,
Polly used a shape cutter
to create a 5" circle, then
trimmed it in half with
decorative-edge scissors.
Think outside the box
when looking at die
cuts. By trimming off
the end of an arrow,
Polly created a grassy
landscape.
Polly punched flowers from
patterned paper and accented
the stems with Stickles.
