leslie’s take
This tool is so user-friendly
and compact! While you
need to use the Tonic Studios
punches with this tool, you’ll
find many uses for them on
their own, too.
I created a repeating heart
design across the page with
a standard Tonic punch. Then
I backed the design with a
strip of purple cardstock.
To create a decorative
pocket for my tag, I punched
a border across a block of
pink cardstock, folded over
the design, and adhered
the bottom and sides of the
block to my page.
I spaced my pinwheels far
enough apart that the bottom
strip would remain intact. You
could overlap them slightly
so the designs pull apart to
create a scalloped edge (see
the step-by-step, opposite).

erica’s take
The built-in ruler and
markers make it a breeze
to punch straight, evenly
spaced borders.
After I punched
scallops along this
strip, I used a second
punch to add a
star pattern.
I punched a scalloped
border around my
photo mat, and then
used a second punch
to create a star-shape
hole to house a brad.
Before I discarded
the leftover negative
strip from my yellow
punched mat, I used
it as a mask to ink the
edges of my page.
