2 a new path
design by JEN LESSINGER
Documenting the reasons behind a major
life change can be a reassuring reminder
when things get tough. Jen explains her
decision to go back to school on this
graphic scrapbook page.
TIPS
• Hit the road. Jen created a miniature
“path” to symbolize her journey from law
to art by cutting out a paper arrow and
placing it on a felt sheet with flowers.
• Make it easy. For a quick page mat, Jen
printed her journaling at the top right-
hand corner of an 81∕ t11" sheet of white
2
cardstock, rounded the corners, and
mounted it on her page, layering her other
elements on top.

1 thoughts on becoming 40
design by FRANCINE CLOUDEN
For a creative twist on a 40th birthday
layout, Francine celebrated the day by
recording her goals for the coming year.
TIPS
• Trim away. Cut designs from laser-cut
paper to embellish a page. Francine tucked
orange flowers in the gaps to add depth.
• Stick to it. To print her journaling on a
die-cut card, Francine printed the text
on a sheet of paper first. She temporarily
adhered the card to the paper over the
original journaling and ran the sheet
through her printer again.
