4 make a photo pillow
design by DENINE ZIELINSKI
Denine combined her sewing and scrapping skills to create this 14"-square pillow
by sewing two felt sheets together. You can get the look by embellishing a premade
pillow cover, but if you want to make your own, try this:
1. Print 3t3" photos on iron-on ink-jet fabric sheets, cut them out, and iron them
on a 12t9" felt sheet.
2. For a homemade touch, hand-stitch around the photo edges with floss. Punch
holes through felt and fabric strips and attach them around the edges with brads.
3. After embellishing the felt sheet, Denine hand-stitched it to the pillow cover.
(If you’re not a sewer, fabrics glue would work, too.)
4. Finish by adhering felt die cuts to the pillow cover with fabrics glue and stu ng
the pillow cover with fiberfill or a purchased pillow form before stitching the
cover closed.
